IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always
be observed, including the following:
1. Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local
voltage before you connect the appliance to the mains.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been given instructions
concerning the use of the appliance by the authorized personnel responsible
for their safety.
3. Small children should be supervised by the authorized personnel to
prevent their playing with the appliance.
4. Do not use the appliance in the bathroom.
5. Do not touch the appliance or power cord with wet hands. To avoid
electric shock, do not immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug into
water or any other liquid.
6. Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is connected to the mains.
7. Do not wrap the power cord around hot ceramic plates. Do not wrap the
cord around the plates before storing the appliance.
8. The plates get very hot during the use. Avoid any contacts of the exposed
parts of the body, especially the scalp, hands, face and neck with the hot
surface of the plates. Before storing the unit let the plates cool down at
least 30 minutes.
9. The hair straightener is intended for domestic use only. Do not use the
appliance outside or for commercial purposes.
