Functional Sections of the Panel

Configurable Button Section
Figure 3-5 shows the configurable button section of the panel:

The configurable button section includes 16 buttons, each of which may be programmed to
perform various functions such as channel selection, system control, or group selection. The
buttons can also be status buttons.
Each button incorporates an LCD that has 3 rows of 8 characters. The button functions and
button legends are determined during panel configuration. Each configured button is illumi-
nated. Buttons that are not configured are dark (not illuminated) and have no legend. Buttons
that are momentarily disabled are also dark. The illumination can be high or low tally
— green,
white, amber, or red. Red usually indicates a problem.
There are several dozen different button functions available to the configurer (for panels that
control Imagestore 750s). You, the operator, will find a variety of these button types in the
configurable button section of the iMC-Panel-300 you are using.
These buttons provide two distinct sets of buttons: one set when the panel is controlling an
Imagestore 750 and another set when the panel is controlling an MCE or MCPM.
