Flags
This section gives information about AFD flag management.
Presence – the status icon is green if AFD flags are detected in the input data
stream
Detected – the data box shows the AFD code for the detected flags
Inserted – the data box shows the code of the AFD inserted in the output data
stream

Aspect Ratio Scaling Mode
Use the pulldown to select the aspect ratio scaling mode that will be used.
These options are available:

•
Auto
•
Stretch
•
Center Cut
•
Letter box
•
Pillar box

V-Chip Mode
Use the pulldown to select how V-Chip data will be
processed in the IRD-3101:
•
Replace: Will use the PSIP information to replace any
existing XDS data. Use this option if you
know you want to use the PSIP advisory.
•
Pass:
If XDS data is already present, it is left
untouched. In this mode, no V-CHIP is
generated if no XDS data is present.
