Warning

IF YOU DETECT ANY CONTAMINANT ODOR OR TASTE, OR 
IRRITATION OF EYES, NOSE OR THROAT THAT SUGGESTS 
EXPOSURE TO THE CONTAMINANT, RETURN TO FRESH AIR 
IMMEDIATELY. DETERMINE THE REASON FOR THE EXPOSURE 
AND TAKE APPROPRIATE CORRECTIVE ACTION BEFORE 
CONTINUING USE OF THE RESPIRATOR. FAILURE TO TAKE THE 
PROPER CORRECTIVE ACTION MAY RESULT IN EXPOSURE TO 
THE CONTAMINANT WHICH COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY 
OR DEATH.

Warning

IF BATTERY COMPARTMENT BECOMES HOT, IMMEDIATELY 
LEAVE THE AREA REQUIRING RESPIRATORY PROTECTION, 
TURN OFF THE EQUIPMENT, AND ALLOW THE BATTERIES TO 
COOL AT LEAST 60 MINUTES BEFORE REMOVING IT. DO NOT 
HANDLE BATTERY DIRECTLY IF YOU SMELL AN ACRID ODOR.

Warning

DO NOT REMOVE THE FACEPIECE, 
BREATHING TUBE, OR ADAPTER 
FROM THE FACEPIECE WHILE IN A 
HAZARDOUS ATMOSPHERE EXCEPT 
IN AN EMERGENCY. REMOVING ANY 
OF THESE ITEMS WILL TERMINATE 
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION AND 
EXPOSE THE USER TO THE 
HAZARDOUS ATMOSPHERE, WHICH 
MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR 
DEATH.

Termination of use occurs when the user leaves the contaminated area and does not 

intend to reenter. Removal must be done in a fresh air environment after thorough

The MIRA Safety MB-90 PAPR must be cleaned, inspected, and prepared for its next use. Refer to the CLEANING AND 

STORAGE section of this manual.

TERMINATION OF USE

Exit the area requiring respiratory protection and, if necessary, proceed to 

decontamination as directed by your respiratory protection program.

Remove the blower assembly by disengaging the belt and removing the blower assembly from the belt.

Open the battery compartment by unthreading (counterclockwise) its cover and remove the batteries.

Unthread and remove the filter elements. Replace the cap and plug on each filter element. Do not dispose of filter 

elements as ordinary waste. See DISPOSAL OF USED FILTER ELEMENTS in this manual.

When it is safe to remove the respirator and handle it:

Turn the power switch to the OFF position.

Remove the respirator facepiece as directed 
by its instruction manual. Do not remove 
the facepiece by pulling on the breathing 
tube assembly.
