If needed, the equipment may be wiped down with a clean, dry cloth to remove exterior dust.
Clean your facepiece according to the manufacturer’s directions. Decontaminate and
clean the exterior of the blower assembly as follows:
Warning
THOROUGHLY CLEAN AND
DECONTAMINATE THE FACEPIECE,
BREATHING TUBE, WAIST BELT, AND
BLOWER ASSEMBLY AFTER EACH
USE. FAILURE TO CLEAN AND
DECONTAMINATE THE EQUIPMENT
MAY EXPOSE THE USER TO
SUBSTANCES THAT CAN CAUSE
SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
Caution
CERTAIN CLEANING AND
DISINFECTING AGENTS SUCH AS
QUATERNARY AMMONIUM
COMPOUNDS (AMMONIUM
CHLORIDES) MAY CAUSE DAMAGE,
DETERIORATION, OR ACCELERATED
AGING OF THE RESPIRATOR. USE
ONLY THE RECOMMENDED
CLEANING AND DISINFECTING
AGENTS.
After any required decontamination, respirators must be cleaned, disinfected, and
inspected after each use. After cleaning and inspection, the respirator must be stored in
a clean, dry area and reinspected before the next use. Refer to the manufacturer’s
Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for any cleaning or disinfecting/sanitizing preparations used.
Used filter elements must be removed and disposed of as directed in the DISPOSAL OF
USED FILTER ELEMENTS section of this manual.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
Warning
INSPECT THE FACEPIECE,

FUNCTIONING MAY RESULT IN A
MALFUNCTION AND POTENTIALLY
EXPOSE THE USER TO SUBSTANCES
THAT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY
OR DEATH.
Inspect the equipment for worn or aging rubber parts, worn or frayed harness
webbing, or damaged components.

Disconnect the breathing tube from the facepiece and the blower assembly.

DO NOT USE AN AUTOCLAVE TO DISINFECT/SANITIZE ANY OF THE COMPONENTS IN THIS
RESPIRATOR
Note
IF THE RESPIRATOR IS (OR IS SUSPECTED OF BEING) CONTAMINATED BY A HAZARDOUS
SUBSTANCE, THE CONTAMINANT MUST BE IDENTIFIED AND PROPERLY REMOVED, OR THE
CONTAMINATED COMPONENT(S) MUST BE REPLACED BEFORE NEXT USE. DISPOSE OF ANY
CONTAMINATED COMPONENT(S) IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE REGULATIONS.
IF THE RESPIRATOR IS (OR IS SUSPECTED OF BEING) EXPOSED TO CBRN CLASS HAZARDOUS
SUBSTANCES, HANDLE AND/OR DISPOSE OF THE UNIT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
REQUIREMENTS OF YOUR CBRN RESPIRATORY PROTECTION PROGRAM.

MANUFACTURER’S MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET (SDS) FOR PRECAUTIONS AND IMPORTANT
