The unit is a manual defrost type and will require defrosting when the ice buildup is 1/4” thick or more
around the cabinet top. Defrost as often as required to prevent excessive frost buildup inside the unit.
Excessive ice build-up will reduce cooling efficiency and may cause product loss and equipment dam-
age.
To perform a manual defrost follow these steps.
1.
•
Remove all product from the unit.
2.
•
Disconnect from electrical receptacle.
3.
•
Allow sufficient time for all ice buildup to melt or use warm water or a hair dryer to melt ice.

•
Remove the compressor cover from the back of the unit (see page 5 for instructions)
5.
•
Place a suitable size pan under the drain tube.
6.
•
Remove dividers, baskets, and false bottom from the unit.
7.
•
Remove the drain plug from the interior cabinet bottom.
8.
•
Drain all the water and wipe down the inside of the unit until clean and dry.
8•
(See cleaning instructions, page 4)
9. Replace the drain plug in the interior cabinet bottom.
10. Remove the pan and re-install the compressor cover.
11. Replace the dividers, baskets, and false bottom into the unit.
12. Plug the unit in and verify if it is getting cold.
