The main
ducts’ diameter depend
s on the airflow that was calculated at the
previous step. If the calculated airflow is 90 cfm (40 l/s) or less, it is possible to use
main ducts of 6

(150 mm). The maximum airflow of the main ducts will then be
required to be adjusted between 180 cfm and 215 cfm (85 l/s and 100 l/s) in the
microcontroller’s ventilation menu
. Note, however, that this setting will decrease
heating and cooling capacity in heat pump mode by up to approximately 25%
depending on current temperatures and humidity level.

If enough space is available, it is always preferable to choose main ducts of

In high speed or heat pump mode, airflow increases significantly. To
minimize the noise of the air in motion, it is recommended to have a minimum
number of supply and return ducts based on whether the main ducts are 6
