Connections are made with bare wire ends into the push-in Phoenix terminal blocks. First remove the terminal
blocks from the miniDSP Balanced 2x4 or Balanced Kit board. Connect individual wires from a shielded pair cable
to each set of screw terminals.
This diagram illustrates the connections for balanced input and output. "S" is the shield wire, and "+" and "−" are
the positive and negative signal leads.
For making unbalanced connections, take note of the wiring in the following diagram. For inputs, connect the
"S" terminal to the "−" terminal. For outputs, connect to only the "S" and "+" terminals.
Note that you can use a mixture of balanced and unbalanced connections, in any combination. Be aware,
however, that signals levels on the outputs will be different.
After all connections to the terminal blocks are secure, firmly re-insert the terminal blocks. See also
