6. Select the ASCII Setup button and verify that the box for Echo typed characters
locally is checked. If not, check the box.

7. Select OK . In the IP142 Properties window, select OK .
8. At the OK prompt in the Hyperterminal window, enter the command upgrade . The
command Transfer S-record file now, type ‘end’ when transfer complete.
OK displays.

9. Transmit the file by selecting Transfer from the menu bar at the top of the window, then
select send text file . Find and select the access point program file.
NOTE: If the file is not a text file, go to Files of Type at the bottom
of the window and select “All files”.
