4 Daily Maintenance

Before executing the [PUMP TUBE WASH]

Before executing the [PUMP TUBE WASH] or [Wiper cleaning] function, the tubes must be filled with the
cleaning solution.

Filling the tubes with the cleaning solution [MaintWashLiquid]

Supply and discharge the cleaning liquid for the wiper and pump tubes.

STEPS:

Make sure that the printer is in LOCAL mode, and then select [MAINTENANCE] using
the [FUNCTION] key and press the [ENTER] key.

If it is in REMOTE mode, press the [REMOTE] key once.

Select [HD.MAINTENANCE] by pressing the [



] key twice and press the [ENTER] key.

Select [MaintWashLiquid] by pressing the [



] key once and press the [ENTER] key.

At this point, either of [FILLING UP] and [DISCHARGE] can be selected by pressing
the [



] or [



] key.



If there is a problem with the waste ink tank, the display will show either of the

following messages.
Follow the displayed instructions to restore the normal conditions.

No waste ink tank,

or a tank is FULL.
