Remove the roll up shaft in the front and put an

empty paper tube through it.

The take-up unit has media holders (as does the roll shaft in

the roll rack). Loosen the lock lever and remove the hold-

ers.

Attach roll holders to both ends of the empty

paper tube, and return them to the heavy me-

dia take-up unit.

Operate the jog keys [ ][ ] to thread the media

between the drier fan and the tension bar until

a moderate length is exposed. Using an adhe-

sive tape, fix the media edge to the empty

paper tube for take-up.

Operate the jog keys [ ][ ] to give a moderate

sag to the medium. Set the take-up direction

switch to the FORWARD position and the take-

up ON/OFF switch to the ON position and take

up the media about once around the empty

paper tube.

• Take up the media on the Take-up unit. Loosen

the media using jog key [ ] before pulling down

the tension bar.
