2.9.  Reagents 

 
Complete installation with reagents, by providing at least: 
 
EMBEDDING REAGENTS: 
5L of wax (5kg of solid wax); Milestone wax can be used: 
REF 51439 

SYNERGY WAX 

 

 

 

 

 

Box including N. 6 x 2 kg pouch Synergy Wax, histology grade 

 

2.10. Operating settings 

 
When the System is switched on, the splash screen is displayed by default.  
 

MILESTONE  

VERSION X.X 

To  set  the  operating  settings  (language,  temperature  measurement  unit,  date  format,  auxiliary  tweezers, 
available  dispenser  and  thermal  module),  turn  off  the  dispensing  module  via  the  switch  on  the  rear  panel, 
and then switch it back on.  
 

 

 
While the splash screen is displayed, press the MANUAL MODE, UP and DOWN keys one after the other. 
The following screen is displayed: 
 

S.A.T. 

MILESTONE v.x.x. 

This message indicates that the unit is in programming mode. 
After about 5 seconds the following screen opens: 

SELECT LANGUAGE 

ENGLISH 

Use the UP or DOWN arrow keys to select the desired interface language. 
Once selected, press the ENTER key to confirm. 

TEMPER. SELECTION 

CELSIUS 

Use  the  UP  or  DOWN  keys  to  select  the  CELSIUS  or  FAHRENHEIT 
temperature units, and press ENTER to confirm the selection. 

DATE FORMAT 

EUROPEAN FORMAT 

Use the UP or DOWN keys to select the date format: 
-European format: DD-MM (day - month) 
-American format: MM-DD (month - day) 
Press ENTER to confirm 

AUX. FORCEPS 

ENABLED 

Use  the  UP  or  DOWN  arrow  keys  to  select  ENABLED  if  the  optional 
auxiliary tweezers are installed or DISABLED if they are not. Press ENTER 
to confirm.  

CONT. RESERVOIR HEAT 

ENABLED 

Use  the  UP  or  DOWN  keys  to select  ENABLED  and  keep  the  following  in 
continuous operation mode: 
-the wax cavity heating system 
- the heating system of the tube to the dispenser 
- the contact detector for dispensing wax 
 
This  option  makes  it  possible  to  dispense  wax  at  any  time.  Note  that  the 
heating areas, tweezers and cold plate will not be operating. 
 
Select  DISABLED  if  the  dispenser  is  not  required  to  be  continuously
