1.2. Designated uses
The Milestone EasyCUT and its optional parts have been engineered for laboratory use and can therefore
withstand the harshest laboratory conditions for continuous use in microtome cut procedures.
The instrument is intended for
laboratory use (indoor use) only .
Milestone EasyCUT is specifically designed to effectively neutralize the electrostatic charge during the
microtome cutting. it has been designed for a stable operation and an easy maintenance. There is no need of
compressed air, which makes the installation easy and keeps costs under control.
The static electricity causes a series of problems during the microtome cutting. Even if it is invisible to the
human eye, it is continuously produced and can affect the effectiveness of production and quality of histological
sections.
It is equipped with a monitoring system, composed by sensors located inside the four slots where ionized
comes out from, that detect foreign objects; in this case, the inlet of ionized air is stopped.
The direction and speed of the ionized air can be easily adjusted at any time.
A series of LED shows the operating status at a glance. Ionizing needles can be removed and installed, and
the air filter can be replaced, very quickly.
Any other use of the instrument should be deemed as misuse and voids the
manufacturer's warranty.
