External casing and fascia
panel
^
Clean the casing with a mild non-ab-
rasive cleaning agent or soap and
water using a well wrung-out cloth.
Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
^
The drum can be cleaned using a
suitable proprietary stainless-steel
cleaning agent following the manu-
facturer's instructions on the packa-
ging.
,
Do not use solvents, abrasive
cleaners, glass cleaners or all-pur-
pose cleaning agents.
These might damage plastic surfa-
ces and other components because
of the chemicals they contain.
E-Cloth
A microfibre "E-Cloth" is available from
the Miele UK Spare Parts Department,
which is suitable for cleaning surfaces
such as stainless steel, glass, plastic
and chrome without the use of chemi-
cals. It can be washed 300 times.
Extra cleaning
Carry out a hot wash (70°C or above)
with powder detergent approx. every 6
weeks to help prevent deposits building
up in the machine. These can occur
when washing is mainly done at low
temperatures, and also lead to unplea-
sant smells. If you have no reason to
wash occasionally at this high tempera-
ture, then run a Cottons 95°C program-
me with detergent but no laundry at re-
gular intervals.
Cleaning the detergent
dispenser drawer
Remove detergent residues regularly.
^
Pull out the detergent dispenser dra-
wer until a resistance is felt. Press
down the release catch and at the
same time pull the drawer right out of
the machine.
^
Clean the detergent drawer with
warm water.
