Installation
Preparing the worktop
Make the worktop cut-out as shown
in the building-in diagram. Observe
the safety distances (see "Safety dis-
tances").
Wooden worktops
Seal the cut surfaces with a suitable
sealant to avoid swelling caused by
moisture. The sealant must be heat-
resistant.
Make sure that the sealant does not
come into contact with the top of the
worktop.
The seal underneath the hob will hold
it securely in the cut-out. Any gap
between the frame and worktop will
reduce with time.
Securing the spring clamps/support
brackets
The exact positioning of the spring
clamps and the support brackets (only
for hobs with bevelled edges) is
shown in the individual hob diagrams.
Wooden worktops
Position the spring clamps
and the
support brackets
on or at the top
edge of the cut-out as shown in the
hob diagram.
The support brackets are only required
for hobs with bevelled edges.
Secure the spring clamps
and the
support brackets
with the 3.5 x 25
mm wood screws supplied.
