Problem
Cause and remedy
The sensors show in-
creased sensitivity or
fail to react.
The sensitivity level of the sensors has changed.
Make sure that there is no direct light (from the sun
or from an artificial source) falling onto the hob.
The area surrounding the hob must not be too
dark.
Make sure that there is nothing covering the
sensors or the hob.
Take any pans off the hob and wipe away any food
deposits.
Interrupt the power supply to the hob for approx. 1
minute.
If the problem persists after power has been re-
stored, please contact Miele.
One or more residual
heat indicators are
flashing.
There was an interruption to the power supply during
operation or when residual heat was present.
You accessed the programming function while resid-
ual heat was still present.
The hob does not
switch off and
flashes
in the cooking zone dis-
plays.
One or more of the sensors are covered, e.g. by finger
contact, food boiling over or an object.
Remove the obstruction and/or clean the hob.

rear left cooking
zone display,
lights up in the
rear right cook-
ing zone display
and numbers
light up in the
front displays.

A calibration fault has occurred after the reset func-
tion has been activated or after an interruption to the
power supply.
If the displays do not go out after 5 minutes, pro-
ceed as described under "The sensors show in-
creased sensitivity or fail to react".
