Problem

Possible cause and remedy

Cakes and biscuits are
not cooked properly
after following the times
given in the chart.

A different temperature from the one given in the recipe
was used.

^

Select the temperature required for the recipe.

The ingredient quantities are different from those given
in the recipe.

^

Double check the recipe. The addition of more liquid
or more eggs makes a moister mix which would take
longer to cook.

Browning is uneven.

The wrong temperature or shelf level was selected.

^

There will always be a slight unevenness. If the
unevenness is pronounced, check that the correct
temperature and shelf level have been selected.

The material or colour of the baking tin is not suitable
for the oven function.

^

With Conventional heat

V

light coloured, shiny tins

are less suitable. Use matt, dark coloured tins.

FlexiClip runners are not
running smoothly.

The bearings in the FlexiClip runners are not sufficiently
lubricated.

^

Lubricate the bearings with the special Miele
lubricant.
Only use this special lubricant, as it is designed to
withstand high temperatures in the oven. Other
lubricants can harden and stick to the telescopic
runners when they are heated.
The Miele lubricant is available to order from Miele or
via the online Miele shop.
