Heating up the oven for the
first time
New ovens can give off a slight smell
on first use. Heating up the oven for at
least 1 hour with nothing in it will get rid
of this smell.
Ensure that the kitchen is well
ventilated while the appliance is
being heated up for the first time.
Close doors to other rooms to
prevent the smell spreading
throughout the house.

Remove any protective wrapping and
sticky labels from the oven.

Take all accessories out of the oven
and clean them (see "Cleaning and
care").

Before heating up the oven, it is a
good idea to wipe the interior out with
a damp cloth first. This way any dust
or bits of packaging that may have
accumulated in the oven
compartment during storage and
unpacking will be removed.

Switch the oven on.

Select Fan Plus

The recommended temperature of
160 °C will appear highlighted.
This temperature will be automatically
accepted within a few seconds.
Touch

to go back to the
temperature selection option.

Set the maximum possible
temperature (250 °C).
^
Touch the OK sensor.
The oven heating will switch on.
Heat up the oven for at least 1 hour.
After at least an hour:

Turn the function selector to

Switch the oven off.
After heating up for the first time

Danger of burning!
Allow the oven interior to cool down
before cleaning by hand.

Switch the oven on.
^
Clean the oven interior with a clean
sponge and a solution of warm water
and washing-up liquid or a damp
microfibre cloth.
^
Dry all surfaces with a soft cloth.
^
Switch the oven off.
Leave the oven door open until the
oven interior is completely dry.
