IC F3161

First clip the volume control and power switch pins as close to the circuit board as possible,

place a small piece of insulating tape over the volume control connections to protect against shorts to the
GPS antenna or volume control. Scrape a small area of ground plane between the power switch
connections and tin with solder.

4. Mount the GPS antenna in the slot in the chassis for the volume control just under the rubber gasket on

top. Fix to radio using hot glue, RTV or epoxy. Solder the shield for the GPS antenna to the ground
between the power switch connections being very careful not to short the ground to the power switch.
Route the cable as shown. Use hot glue or tape to secure the cable and keep it in place during
reassembly, care should be taken not to pinch or fold the cable.
