HARDWARE INSTALLATION
Be certain to follow standard anti-static procedures when handling any of Midian’s products.

This radio requires radio firmware version 1.22.00 (checksum 08C3) or higher.
1. Remove R-170 to open the radio’s TX path and R-167 to open the radio’s RX path.

VS-1200-KW2, VS-110-KW2 & VS-1100-KW2 Only:
Install a jumper from C-423 to the junction of Q-16
(emitter) and R-91.
3. Solder a jumper from pad SP_M in the radio to the COR Input hole on the scrambler.
4. Plug the scrambler into the options connector, CN60.
Remove R-167
Remove R-170
Install jumper
from pad SP_M
to the COR
hole on the
scrambler
Install jumper
from C423 to
Q-16 emitter
