Chapter 8 Initial Start-Up
8.1 User information
Before placing the BLE Gauge into operation, you must observe the following user information!
This manual contains all information that is required for using the device.
It is intended for technically qualified personnel who have the relevant knowledge and experience in the area
of measurement technology.
Read this manual carefully and completely in order to ensure the proper functioning of the BLE Gauge .
Please contact our technical department if anything is unclear or if you encounter difficulties with regard to
installation or operation (see "Contact information" on page 69).
If necessary, please also refer to the manuals of the accessory parts when commissioning the complete
system. These manuals are included in the scope of delivery of the accessory parts.
8.2 General principles
The entire measurement system must only be placed into operation after completion and inspection of the
installation. Study the manual thoroughly before placing into operation.
8.3 Placing the system into operation
8.3.1 Use in conjunction with a compatible data logger
Note: It is recommended that the BLE Gauge is first placed into operation in the office before moving the
device to the place of use. During this process, you should set a site for subsequent operation on the
myDatanet server (see "myDatanet Server Manual " 805002) and determine a site setting (see "Site
configuration of a compatible data logger" on page 39). Take the opportunity to get to know the functions of the
device in a stable environment.
8.3.1.1 Using the myDatanet server
Note: A detailed explanation of the operation (connections, activation module, solenoid switch,
display, site settings) is available in the manual of the relevant data logger.
The following work should be completed in the office before you go to the future location of the device:
1. If necessary, create a customer on the myDatanet server (see "myDatanet Server Manual " 805002).
2. Within the selected customer, use the "myDatalogGauge" application template to create a new site for
operation on the myDatanet server (see "myDatanet Server Manual " 805002).
