Outputting and Logging Measured Values, Controlling the Measurement

3DInspect gives you the option of outputting measurement results using various protocols via Ethernet
and logging the measurement results in a file. Activate the “Input/Output” tab for the configuration. The
measured values from the measuring programs that you marked for output (see Chap.

), the device

temperature of the sensor, the part number, the calculated values (see Chap.

) and the assessed val-

ues (see Chap.

) can be used.

Two options are available for the generation of the part number which can be used for assigning the
measured parts:

Manual input: For each measuring operation a dialog for entering the part number will be shown
(see also Chap

, Section 3).

-

Transfer via Modbus TCP: If the measurement is controlled via Modbus TCP, you have the option
of transferring the part number by the control unit (see also Chap

, “Documentation” menu).

Note: Outputting measured values and logging in online mode are only available if you are using the “Au-
tomation” function extension (see Chap.

).

The “Input/Output” tab displays the logging configuration and the settings for outputting the measured
values. Click on the “Settings” button to configure the settings for logging and for outputting the meas-
ured values. The following dialog is displayed:
