Calculating Measured Values
3DInspect gives you the option of calculating measured values with one another. You can create up to
eight calculated signals. To do this, activate the “Calculation” tab. The measured values from the measur-
ing programs that you marked for output (see Chap.
) and user-defined constants can be used.
Fig. 7.2: “Calculation” tab
The “Calculation” tab displays the currently calculated values. Click on the “Calculation X” button to con-
figure the relevant calculated value. The following dialog is displayed:
Fig. 7.3: “Calculation settings“ dialog
The following settings are available:
-
Signal X: Enter a name for the calculated signal.
-
Operands: The following settings are available for the individual operands:
Operator:
If required, use a unary operator. The following operators are available:
Square
Square root
Sine
Cosine
Tangent
Absolute value
Negation
Value i: Select the measured value to be used as the operand. The measured values from
the measuring programs that you marked for output (see Chap.
), the device tempera-
ture of the sensor, user-defined constants and values that have already been calculated can
be used.
Link operator:
If required, use a binary operator in order to use another measured value for
the calculation. You can calculate up to eight measured values. The following operators are
available:
Addition
Subtraction
Multiplication
Division
Note: The device temperature is only available for surfaceCONTROL sensors.
The resulting equation and the result of the current calculation are displayed in the bottom region of the
dialog.
