BEFORE FIRST USE

Before first use remove any stickers or similar from the appliance. (Except the rating label! and Do NOT

COVER warning).

Dispose of any plastic bags responsibly as they pose a risk to young children of suffocation.

Wipe the outside of the appliance with a moist cloth and dry with a towel.

Check that the Plug and Cord are undamaged.

Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface with no risk of falling down.

Ensure that there is enough space for the fan heater while operating, at least 30cm around the heater and

a distance of 100 cm from the front grille.

NOTE: It is normal when the heaters are turned on for the first time or when they are turned on after
having not been used for a long period of time, to emit some smells and fumes.  This will disappear
when the heater has been operating for a short while.

OPERATION

Location

Keep all combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, paper, clothes and curtains at least 1

metre away from heater.

Do not place anything on top of Heater.

Do not use in wet or moist locations; for example, bathrooms or laundry areas, or in areas where paint or

other flammable or volatile liquids are used or stored.

Power Function

1.  Check that the heat control switch is set to the OFF position before plugging the heater into the mains

socket.

2.  Switching the heater to FAN ONLY will operate the heater without the elements heating.
3.  For greater economy, use the HIGH HEAT setting initially and then switch to the LOW HEAT setting.
4.  For the LOW and HIGH heat settings the fan will remain at the same speed; only the element will change

to create the greater/lesser heat output.

Thermostat Control

1.  Turn the thermostat knob clockwise until you reach the maximum temperature on the graduated scale.

When the desired room temperature is reached, slowly turn the knob anti-clockwise until the heater turns
off (you will hear a click). The heater will now cycle ON and OFF to maintain the set temperature.

Overheating Safety Device

1.  Your heater is fitted with a safety device that switches off the heater in the event of overheating.
2.  Should the heater stop working, turn the heater off and inspect of blockage of inlet or outlet. Wait at least 5

minutes for the protection system to reset before attempting to restart the heater.

3.  If the heater fails to operate the safety device switches the heater off again, return the heater to your

nearest service centre for examination or repair.
