Instructions for use
Before first use
•
Remove all packaging components. Check the appliance for completeness.
•
Place the appliance on a dry, ant-slip, flat and heat resistant surface.
•
Put the grill plate and pans onto the grill. Ensure that plate fits properly.
•
Run the cable in a way that nobody can catch it in anyway.
•
Before using your grill for the first time clean the unit surface of the plate and pans with
slightly damp cloth. See “Cleaning instruction”.
•
When it is first switched on, the grill may smell and emit some smoke. This is normal
and will disappear after a while. Grease that may have adhered to the element during
manufacturing to protect the unit is burning off. We therefore recommend that you heat
up the grill for a few minutes without any food (ventilate the room during this period).
Always preheat your appliance on the middle level during a few minutes before using it.
Using your grill
Caution! Danger of burning! The appliance gets very hot during operation.
During operation of electrical caloric appliances, high temperatures by hot body parts
or hot steam are generated, which may cause injuries. Never touch hot parts while the
unit is in operation! Only touch the cool touch handles! Never touch hot plates or
housing!
Caution! Heat development and fire danger! Never place the appliance next to easily
inflammable objects! Always keep enough distance to heat or steam sensitive surface,
walls, furniture, curtain.
Caution! Hot oil and fat can burn easily! Keep special care when using oil and fat as oil
and fat preparations might catch fire easily if they get overheated. Ensure that the
room is ventilated well during use.
Ensure that the cord never comes into contact with hot parts nearby (like grillplate,
heating element etc.) to avoid damage and fire danger.
