LIMIT
SWITCHES
AND
ADJUSTMENT
OF
DOOR
STOPPING
LOCATIONS
Stopping
locations
of
the
door
are
fixed
with
mechanical
limit
switches.
The
control
unit
E6L
controls
drive
unit
with
these
limit
switches.
In
normal
use,
three
limit
switches
are
needed:
open
limit,
closed
limit
and
the
safety
device
limit.
The
con
‐
tacts
of
the
open
and
closed
limits
open
when
the
door
reaches
its
extreme
position.
The
contacts
of
the
safety
device
limit
close
5...50
mm
before
the
closed
position
of
the
door.
The
safety
device
limit
eliminates
the
opening
function
from
the
control,
but
stops
the
door
at
an
impulse
from
the
safety
device.
This
function
prevents
the
door
from
opening
anew
when
the
safety
edge
hits
the
floor
or
the
frame.
The
stopping
function
can
be
eliminated
in
cases
of
a
folding
door
equipped
with
safety
edge
in
both
the
colliding
front
edges
of
the
door,
where
the
safety
edges
touch
each
other
before
the
fully
closed
position
of
the
door.
For
the
half
‐
open
function,
a
half
‐
open
limit
is
also
required,
with
its
contacts
closing
in
the
half
‐
open
position.
LED’s
H49
...
H51
and
H53
indicate
the
mode
of
operation
of
the
limits,
cf.
drawing
no.
336L.
In
the
drawing,
the
position
of
the
contacts
corresponds
to
the
mechanical
and
electric
position
of
the
limit
switch
contacts
when
the
door
is
closed.
The
functioning
of
the
LED’s
also
depends
on
the
mode
of
the
regulating
units
connected
in
series
before
them.
It
is
easier
to
adjust
the
limits
when
the
control
is
set
to
hold
‐
to
‐
run.
The
control
can
be
switched
to
hold
‐
to
‐
run
in
the
open
direction
using
short
circuit
plug
No.
2
of
terminal
J6
and
in
the
closed
direction
with
plug
No.
3
of
terminal
J6.
When
the
short
circuit
plug
is
in
place
the
control
will
switch
to
hold
‐
to
‐
run.
Once
the
limits
have
been
set,
the
short
circuit
plugs
can
be
removed
and
the
control
will
change
to
impulse
directed.
4.2.
AUTOMATIC
CLOSING
By
means
of
a
selector
switch
connected
to
terminal
blocks
12
and
13
of
the
control
unit,
a
door
or
similar
can
be
made
to
close
automatically
from
the
open
or
half
‐
open
position,
when
the
contacts
of
the
switch
are
closed.
When
the
contacts
of
the
switch
are
open,
no
automatic
closing
will
take
place;
cf.
drawing
no.

can
be
chosen
from
either
half

or
fully

open
position
or
both.
If
both
jumpers
No.2
and
3
are
off
or
on,
automatic
closing
works
from
either
position.
If
jumper
No.2
is
on
and
3
is
off,
automatic

works
from
fully

tion.
If
jumper
No.3
is
on
and
2
is
off,
automatic
closing
works
from
half

open
position.
Operation
with
automatic
closing
is
not
permitted
without
sufficient
safety
devices.
The
delay
before
automatic
closing,
that
is,
the
time
the
door
stays
open,
is
set
with

in
the

NOTE!
When
the
rotary
switch
is
in
position
0
and
the
jumper
not
in
place,
the
automatic
closing
function
does
not
work.
The
time
is
determined
according
to
the
table
below
by
the
position
of
the
rotary
switch.
If
the
controller
is
equipped
with
the
service
terminal

the
display
shows,
when
the
position
of
the

is
changed,

and
after
that

MONITORING
THE
CLOSING
DRIVE
For
the
eventuality
that
the
close
button
gets
stuck,
the
control
has
been
equipped
with
closing
drive
monitoring.
If
the
close
button
sends
a
constant
closing
impulse
while
the
door
is
opening,
the
door
will
not
close
immediately
from
the
open
position,
but
the
control
will
require
either
a
new
closing
impulse
in
order
to
close
or
it
only
closes
after
the
stay
open
time
set
for
automatic
closing.
