STABILITY OF THE UNIT CONSISTING OF THE TRACTOR AND
CULTIVATOR

The tractor should have appropriate ballast at its
front end to provide proper steering and braking
performance. When the machine is coupled the load
on the tractor's front axle must be at least 20% of the
tractor's own weight (Fig. 7).

Remember  that  the  road  and  the  coupled  machine
influence  the  driving  characteristics.  The  driving
style  should  be  adjusted  to  terrain  conditions  and
type of soil.

While negotiating corners with the coupled or
suspended machine it is important to bear in mind
the reach and weight of the machine.
