TAPE CASSETTE PLAYBACK
Forward music search/fast forward Reverse music search/rewind
Cassette player operation
It is recommended to use only high
quality cassettes with a playback
time of not more than 90 minutes
(C 90).
To play a cassette, insert the cas­
sette (tape side first, side “1” or “A”
facing up) through the cassette
door. Gently push the cassette into
the slot until the motorized-loading
system engages the cassette. The
unit will then switch from radio to
cassette playback.
Automatic tape tensioning will take
up any possible tape slack before
the beginning of playback.
A switched-off unit can be automa­
tically turned-on by loading a cas­
sette.
Track selection
When the end of the first track is
reached, the unit automatically re­
verses to play the second track.
The tape track can also be select­
ed by briefly pressing the cassette
track selector button Q Q . The
track selected is indicated by the
respective indicator lamp in the
button.
To engage the forward music
search feature, press the fo rw a rd _ _
music search/fast forward button BSD
once. The forward music search
begins to advance the tape to the
next music selection. The indicator
lamp in the button DGBlights up.
There must be a minimum pause of
4 seconds between selections for
the music search feature to deter­
mine the beginning of the next
music selection.
Music search can be interrupted by
pressingthe reverse music search/
rewind DSD. track selector

buttons or by pressing the forward
music search/fast forward button
again after approx. 3 seconds.
To fast forward the tape, press the
forwardm usic search/fast forward

music search/rewind button
once. The reverse music search
begins to rewind the tape to the

previous music selection.

To rewind the tape, press the re-
verse music search/rewind but-

the button E D blinks. Upon reach­
ing the beginning of the tape, the
unit will automatically replay the
same track. The unit will not re­
verse to the other track.
Rewind can be interrupted by press­
ing the forward music search/fast
