Engine Oils

Engine oils are specifically tested for

their suitability in our engines. There
fore,  use only engine oils recom

mended by us.  Information on
recom m ended brands is available at
any MERCEDES-BENZ service sta
tion.

On a new vehicle, the engine is

filled w ith an initial operation oil  in

the factory. This oil  is specially

developed fo r the specific operating
conditions during the first

1 3 0 0 -1 6 0 0  k m /8 0 0 -1 0 0 0  miles.

A recom m ended engine oil  may be
used fo r topping  up if the oil  level
drops of the d ip stick minimum
mark prior to the first service

1 3 0 0 -1 6 0 0   k m /8 0 0 -1 0 0 0   miles.

During the course of the operation of

the vehicle, the boiling  point of the
brake fluid is continuously being

reduced through the absorption of
m oisture from   the atm osphere.  Under
extrem ely hard operating conditions,
this m oisture content can  lead to the

form ation  of vapor in the  system,  thus

reducing the system 's efficiency. The
brake fluid  m ust therefore be
replaced annually,  preferably in the
spring.  It is recom m ended to  use only

brake fluid approved by
MERCEDES-BENZ.

Y our MERCEDES-BENZ dealer will
