START SEWING
Simple sewing
1.
Lift the presser foot and raise the needle to
the
highest
position
by
turning
the
handwheel towards you.
2.
Align the fabric with the lines on the stitch
plate.
3.
Lower the presser foot and ensure that the
threads are lying backwards.
4.
Turn the handwheel towards you and lower
the needle so that it passes down into the
fabric.
5.
Slowly press the foot control. Guide the
fabric carefully with your hands. You do not
need to pull the fabric, as it is fed forwards
automatically by the feed dog.
6.
Press the backstitch control and sew a few
stitches backwards to secure the seam.
7.
Raise the presser foot and the needle,
remove the fabric and lay the threads
backwards. Cut off both threads with
scissors. Leave sufficiently long thread ends
so that you can continue sewing.
