STORAGE
The power cord can be wound around the
bottom part of the kettle.
• Do not immerse the kettle, power cord,
plug or the base in water or any other
liquid.
BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
The boil-dry protection prevents the kettle from
starting when there is no water in the jug. If the
boil-dry protection trips, allow the kettle to cool,
fill up with cold water and switch on again.
MAINTENANCE
CLEANING
Pull out the plug and allow the kettle to cool
before cleaning.
• Wipe the base with a soft, damp cloth.
Never use toxic detergent.
• Clean the filter regularly. The filter can be
removed for easy cleaning. Replace the
filter after cleaning.
IMPORTANT:
Do not use abrasive detergents or
implements on the jug or kettle, this can
scratch the surface.
DESCALING
Descale the kettle regularly for best functionality.
Follow the instructions of the manufacturer if
using a special descaling agent. The kettle can
also be descaled with a mixture of equal parts of
water and vinegar as follows.
• Pour enough of the vinegar mixture in the
kettle to cover the heating element. Leave
the liquid in the kettle overnight.
• Pour out the vinegar mixture, fill the
kettle to the MAX mark with clean water,
boil up, and pour out the water. Repeat
several times, until the smell of vinegar
disappears. Any stains in the spout can be
removed with a damp cloth.
