COFFEE BREWING
1. Put the coffee press on a dry, level and
non-slip surface.
2. Hold the handle firmly and pull the
plunger straight up, out of the pot.
3. Put a tablespoonful of coarse ground
coffee in the pot for each cup of water
(1.8 dl).
4. Boil up the water and allow to stand for
about 30 seconds. The recommended
temperature of the water is about 98°C.
5. Slowly pour the water into the pot. The
water should completely cover the ground
coffee. Do not fill to more than 2.5 cm
below the rim of the pot.
6. Stir with a plastic spoon.
7. Pull up the plunger handle as far as it
goes and put the plunger in the pot.
8. Allow to stand for about 4 minutes before
pressing down the plunger. It should take
about 30 seconds to push the plunger
completely down. If it is difficult to press
down the plunger this can be because the
filter is clogged. Pull up the plunger and
rinse under hot running water to clear.
9. Stir the beverage, put in the plunger and
slowly press down. The ground coffee is
pushed down to the bottom of the pot
and the coffee over the filter is ready to
serve.
10. Serve freshly brewed coffee for the best
taste.
