USE
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
NOTE:
The first time the cooker is used it may smell
a little. This is completely normal and stops
after using the cooker a few times.
1. Remove all the packaging material and
any stickers from the cooker.
2. Wash the glass lid and ceramic pot with
hot water and washing-up liquid, rinse
well and allow to dry.
MODES
OFF
The cooker is switched off in the OFF position.
LOW
Recommended for food with low liquid
content. The food can be cooked up to
6–8 hours.
HIGH
Recommended for food with high liquid
content and for meat, beans and cereals.
The food can be cooked up to 4–6 hours.
WARM
To keep warm in the cooker for simple serving.
Food can be kept warm up to 4 hours. If food is
kept warm for too long it can become dry and
lose its taste.
• Do not start the cooker if the
ceramic pot is empty.
• Allow the lid and pot to cool
before washing with water.
• Never touch the cooker
casing during use – risk of
burn injuries. Use the handle
and knobs. Do not touch hot
surfaces. Use pot-holders or
oven gloves to take off the lid
and/or handle the contents.
• Never attempt to cook food
directly on the base. Use the
ceramic pot.
• Do not use the ceramic pot
or glass lid if they are cracked
or damaged.
• Pull out the plug when the
cooker is not in use.
• Do not start the cooker
upside down, or on its side.
• The glass lid and the ceramic
pot are fragile – handle
them with care.
• Pull out the plug before
assembly, dismantling,
service or cleaning, and
before moving the cooker.
• A damaged cord or plug
must be replaced by an
