4.4 Installing Licenses
A license for extended FabricIT management and inspection features with FabricIT EFM
software is available for an additional licensing fee.
4.5 Getting and Inserting the License Key
FabricIT Enterprise Fabric Manager (EFM) license can be purchased from your Mellanox
representative at any time. A License Entitlement Number will be supplied at the time of
purchase. To generate the License Key enter the License Entitlement Number and the
Switch Serial Number into the Mellanox online license tool at
http://license.mella-
nox.com . The Switch Serial Number can be found on the pull-out tab or the box labeling.
For the serial number location on the chassis.
Step 1.
Go to http://license.mellanox.com .
Step 2.
Provide the Entitlement Number, provided on purchase of FabricIT Enterprise Fabric
Manager.

Enter the provided Entitlement Number.
Step 3.
Generate the License Key.
Step 4.
Provide the purchased switch serial number (switch S/N).
