Setting up the product
Make sure it is firmly positioned. Do not use
force when assembling or setting up the pro-
duct, e.g. hammer blows. This will damage the
product. In order to get the best possible results,
place the product in a place where the solar
cell is exposed to direct sunlight for as long as
possible.
Push the assembled product far enough into
the ground (grass, flower bed) to be stable.
Please note the assembly steps in the chapter
„Assembling the product“.
Make sure the solar cell is not impacted by
other light sources, e.g. yard or street lighting,
or the light will not switch on at dusk.
The light will automatically switch on in low
light and switch off in normal daylight.
Replacing the
rechargeable battery

Remove the solar cell housing

Slide the on / off switch

to the „OFF“ position.
Open the battery cover

, remove the rechar-
geable battery

and replace it with a new
rechargeable battery of the same type AAA
(Fig. D).
Replace the battery cover

Slide the on / off switch

to the „ON“ position

Place the solar cell housing

Unscrew the two screws (three in model
10397C) from the underside of the solar cell
housing

using a screwdriver (Fig. D).
Fold up the solar cell housing

(Fig. E and F).
Remove the rechargeable battery

and re-
place it with a new rechargeable battery of the
same type AAA (10397B) or AA (10397C)
(Fig. F).
Place the solar cell housing

on the battery
compartment again.
Retighten the two screws (three in model
10397C) using a screwdriver.
Slide the on / off switch

to the „ON“ position

Charging the
rechargeable battery
Please note that the product must be switched on
when charging the rechargeable battery. The char-
ging time via the solar cell varies by the intensity of
the sunlight and the incidence angle of light onto
the solar cell. Place the solar cell as perpendicular
as possible to incidence angle of light. This will
ensure the brightest light.
Maintenance and cleaning
The LED cannot be replaced. The product is mainte-
nance-free except for replacing the rechargeable
battery as necessary.
Do not use solvents, petrol, etc. These will
damage the product.
Regularly clean the product with a dry, lint-free
cloth. Use a slightly moist cloth if very dirty.
