8 – Operation
WARNING! Risk of
injury! There is a risk of
injury caused by a
moving inserted tool. During
operation, do not point the
inserted tool at yourself, other
people or animals.
CAUTION! Risk of heat
stroke! Long periods of
work at high temperatures
may result in heat stroke. Make
sure you do not work too long at
high temperatures and take
regular breaks.
Switching the jackhammer on and
off
1. To switch the jackhammer on, press
and hold the on/off switch (3). The
inserted tool will start to move.
2. To lock the on/off switch in
position, push down fully and
then press the locking button (2).
You can now release the on/off
switch and the jackhammer will
continue to operate.
3. To switch off the jackhammer, press
the locked on/off switch briefly. The
locking button is unlocked and the
jackhammer is switched off.
9 – Mode of operation
Working with the jackhammer
1. If you wish to use the jack -
hammer at low temperatures or
after a long break, allow it to
operate for a few seconds
without an inserted tool. In this
way, the lubricating oil (11) is
better able to circulate inside the
jackhammer.
2. When working, hold the
jackhammer with both hands on
the handles (1) and (4).
3. Exert only slight pressure on the
inserted tool.
The chiselling mechanism of the
jackhammer is activated when the
inserted tool is placed with slight
pressure onto the surface to be
processed.
10 – Maintenance and
environmental
protection
Cleaning
WARNING! Risk of injury!
Incorrect cleaning and
maintenance of the
jackhammer may cause
injuries. Before carrying out any
cleaning or maintenance, pull
the plug from the socket.
Remove the inserted tool before
cleaning. Clean and maintain
the jackhammer regularly
and have the necessary
maintenance and repair work
carried out immediately. Never
submerge the jackhammer in
water. Pay attention to ensure
that no water or other liquids
enter into the housing.
