c)
Keep children and other per-
sons away while using the
power tool.
Distractions can
cause you to lose control of the
power tool.
2. Electrical safety
a)
The power tool plug must
fit into the socket. The plug
must not be modified in any
way. Do not use adapter plugs
with earthed power tools.
Unmodified plugs and matching
sockets reduce the risk of elec-
tric shock.
b)
Avoid body contact with
earthed surfaces such as
pipes, heaters, stoves and
refrigerators.
There is an
increased risk of electric shock
when your body is earthed.
c)
Keep power tools away from
rain or wet conditions.
Water
entering a power tool increases
the risk of electric shock.
d)
Do not misuse the cable to
carry, hang or unplug the
power tool from the socket.
Keep the cable away from
heat, oil, sharp edges or mov-
ing parts.
Damaged or entan-
gled cables increase the risk of
electric shock.
e)
W
hen operating a power tool
outdoors, use extension cables
suitable for outdoor use.
Using
an extension cable suitable for
outdoor use reduces the risk of
electric shock.
f)
If operating the power tool in
a humid environment is una-
voidable, use a residual cur-
rent device (RCD).
The use of
a residual current device (RCD)
reduces the risk of electric shock.
3. Personal safety
a)
Stay alert, watch what you are
doing and use common sense
when working with a power
tool. Do not use a power tool if
you are tired or under the influ-
ence of drugs, alcohol or med-
ication.
A moment of inattentive-
ness while using the power tool
can result in serious injury.
b)
Always wear personal pro-
tective equipment and safety
goggles.
Wearing protective
equipment, such as a dust mask,
non-slip safety shoes, hard hat,
or hearing protection, depending
on the type and use of the power
tool, reduces the risk of injury.
c)
Avoid unintentional start-up.
Make sure that the power tool
is switched off before connect-
ing it to the power supply and/
or the battery pack, before
picking it up or carrying it.
Carrying the power tool with your
finger on the switch or connect-
ing the power tool to the power
supply when it is switched on
can cause accidents.
d)
Remove adjusting tools or
wrenches before turning on
the power tool.
A tool or wrench
placed in a rotating part of the
power tool can cause personal
injury.
e) Avoid an abnormal posture.
Keep your footing and balance
at all times.
This makes it easier
to keep control of the power tool
in unexpected situations.
