Swing protective cap down and insert
new (or reversed) blade from the side.
Ensure correct alignment!
The blade must run parallel to the
pressure plate! If necessary, adjust by
means of the hexagon-socket screws.
Retighten the three hexagonal nuts,
using the open-ended spanner.
Likewise, change (or reverse) the second
blade and adjust it as described.
Always change or reverse blades in pairs!
8 – Operation
Safety check
Before use check that the blades and all
fitted parts are correctly and securely
seated.
Connecting to power supply
Before use check that the mains voltage
is correct and the mains supply is
fitted with suitable fuses (see „Technical
Data“).
Insert plug in socket: The electric planer
is now ready to operate.
Starting
When the planer is started, the cutter
shaft must not be in contact with the
workpiece!
Hold electric planer with both hands.
1 Press and hold down safety catch
2 Press and hold down button: The
electric planer will begin to run.
For safety reasons the On/Off button
cannot be locked.
Risk of injury. Do not interfere
with safety catch and On/Off
button.
As soon as the motor has reached full
speed, the cutter shaft may be applied
to the workpiece.
Switching off
When switching off, the cutter shaft
must no longer be in contact with the
workpiece. Leave the planer sole resting
on the workpiece!
Release safety catch (1) and button (2).
The motor will run down.
Risk of injury from open blades
still running! Wait until motor
comes to a dead stop!
Only then should the electric planer be
removed from the workpiece and put
down.
