Starting/stopping
NOTE:
Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate before
connecting the tool to the mains voltage.
1.
Start the tool by pressing the power switch.
2.
Press in the lock button when the power switch is pressed for continuous operation.
3.
Switch off the tool by pressing in and then releasing the power switch.
Sanding of sanded surfaces
1.
Place the tool with the whole sand paper surface against the surface to be sanded.
2.
Press evenly while working. Pressing harder will not speed up the work, but will put more
strain on the tool and the sand paper.
3.
Removal and the grinding pattern are primarily due to the sand paper’s grit size, the speed of
the sanding pad and how hard you press.
Coarse sanding
Use coarse sand paper. Press lightly for the best removal.
Fine sanding
1.
Use fine sand paper.
2.
Press moderately hard, and move the tool in circular movements or back and forth and up
and down across the work piece.
3.
Do not tilt the tool as this will leave marks in the sanded surface.
4.
After finishing the work, switch off the tool and lift if from the work piece.
Pad brake
The pad brake lowers the speed when the tool is unloaded, to reduce the risk of marks on work pieces
when the tool is applied. If over time the no-load speed increases, the pad brake is worn out and
must be replaced by a qualified service technician.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE:
Switch off the tool and unplug the power cord. Make sure that the lock button is not pressed in.
• Keep the ventilation openings and motor housing clean and free from debris and dust.
• Clean the tool with a cloth or sponge, moistened with a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive or
solvent-based detergents, this could damage the plastic parts.
• Never immerse the tool in liquid or allow liquid to enter the tool – risk of electric shock and
personal injury.
• Dry off the tool using a dry and clean cloth.
