Power switch with variable speed control
Start the tool by pressing the power switch. The speed increases the further in the switch is pressed.
Press in the lock button when the switch is pressed for continuous operation. Press the switch again to
release the lock button.
Release the power switch to switch off the tool.
Torque adjustment
The tool has 15+1 torque settings, which are set with the torque selection ring. Select a suitable torque
for the material and screw size. Longer/thicker screws and hard materials require a higher setting. Set the
torque selection ring in the drilling position to drill a hole.
Drilling
When you are drilling a hole with a large diameter it is best to start with a small bit and then
continue with larger and larger bits until the hole is the right size. This will prevent the tool from
being overloaded.
Switch off the tool immediately to prevent it from being damaged if the bit fastens in the hole.
Change the direction of rotation to left drive to pull out the bit.
Hold the drill in line with the hole. The bit can break and fasten in the hole and/or cause personal
injury if the angle is changed while drilling.
Pull the bit up at regular intervals while drilling to remove borings from the hole.
Screwing
It can be a good idea to predrill a hole that is slightly longer and thinner than the screw. This will
help to align the screw and make it easier to screw in. A predrilled hole will prevent the wood
breaking when drilling near the edge of a workpiece.
Use the correct bit for the screw head.
Press the tool firmly against the screw head so that the bit does not slip. If the screw head is
damaged it may not be possible to screw it in or out.
MAINTENANCE
Service and maintenance
Always unplug the power cord before adjusting or maintaining the tool. A damaged cord must be
replaced by an authorised service centre, or qualified person, to avoid putting safety at risk.
Pull out the plug immediately if the cord is damaged.
Do not expose the tool to rain or damp conditions.
Cleaning
Do not use detergent on plastic parts, this could damage the plastic. Remove any dirt and carbon dust
etc. with a clean cloth.
Lubrication
All the bearings in the tool are permanently lubricated. No further lubrication is normally necessary.
Jula reserves the right to make changes. In the event of problems, please contact our service
department.
