OPERATION

The tool is intended screw driving and drilling in wood and metal.

Use the correct speed for the job. Do not drill at low speed, and do not screw at high speed.

The tool will last longer if you do not overload it. If the speed is reduced when drilling, do not press
as hard.

Use a low speed when you start to drill a hole that has not been centre marked, when drilling in
metal or plastic, when screwing or drilling in ceramics, and for all work that requires a higher
torque. Use a high speed when drilling in wood, or when using polishing accessories.

Use a dry, soft cloth when cleaning the drill. Never use detergents or alcohol. Unplug the power
cord before cleaning.
Fitting the bits
Use the correct bits for the job. Only use sharp bits, free from cracks and damaged edges.
1.
Open the chuck jaws by firmly holding the base of the chuck and turning the chuck key
anticlockwise.
2. Insert the bit as far as it goes into the chuck, and centre.
3. Close the chuck jaws by firmly holding the base of the chuck and turning the chuck key clockwise.
Tighten as firmly as possible.
4. Repeat this procedure in the reverse order to remove the bit.
NOTE: The chuck is fitted with a left-hand thread, and therefore must be unscrewed clockwise if the
chuck needs to be dismantled for any reason.
Rotation selector right/left drive
The rotation selector is located above the power switch. Hold the tool in its normal working position.
1.
Move the rotation selector to the left for right drive.
2. Move the rotation selector to the right for left drive.
3. Place the rotation selector in the middle position to lock the switch and prevent accidental starting.
WARNING: Do not touch the rotation selector when the switch is pressed in or the tool is still rotating.
