5. Reassemble the fountain pump. Carefully
replace the rotor on the shaft. When
the rotor reaches a certain position, it is
pulled towards the pump housing by the
magnet.
6. Check that the ceramic washer (6)
and the rubber gasket (5) are correctly
positioned.
7. Check that the O-ring (4) is correctly
positioned before replacing the cover (3)
to the pump chamber.
8. Connect the power cable briefly (3
seconds) to check that the magnetic
rotor (8) is moving freely. Some noise will
be heard during this dry running. This
is not a fault. When the fountain pump
is subsequently used in water, it will be
silent.
Winter storage
Place the fountain pump in a container filled
with water in a frostproof room. Storing the
pump in water avoids deposits accumulating. If
the pump is stored in a dry place, it can lead to
deposits blocking the rotor.
