OPERATION
WARNING
Do not start the pump until the pump chamber has filled with water Do not touch the electric
garden pump until it has been switched off and disconnected from the power supply for at least five
minutes Empty the water from the pump chamber before dismantling the garden pump
Rotate the fan blade before starting, and check that the pump can rotate freely Unscrew the filling plug,
fill the pump chamber with clean water from the outflow, and screw the filling plug tight when the cham-
ber is completely full and free of remaining air Set the valve to a low flow initially, and adjust the flow to
the desired level when the water begins to flow (Approved ranges are given on the type plate)
NB
1
The pump chamber must be completely filled with water before first use, and does not then
need to be filled again
2
If the pump chamber has been filled with water and the pump has been run for five minutes
without any water being pumped out, switch the garden pump off and add more water or
check whether the inlet pipe is leaking
3
In the event of frost damage, open the drainage plug and empty the water from the pump
chamber completely Before switching the pump on again, replace the drainage plug, tighten it
and fill the pump chamber with water
If the garden pump is not to be used for a prolonged period, it should be emptied of water
4
The pump housing, pump wheel and mounting bracket must be cleaned and oiled with anti-rust
oil before being put in a dry, well-ventilated storage place
5
If the garden pump has not been used for an extended period, switch it on again as described in
the above instructions
6
It is particularly important to check that the ventilation is adequate in hot weather Avoid dew
forming on the electrical components of the garden pump, as this can lead to electrical faults
7
If the motor becomes very hot or otherwise functions abnormally, switch off the power
immediately and investigate the cause of the fault in accordance with the table below
