• Never run when using the trimmer.

• Always use the tool in an upright position, with the trimmer line close to the
ground. Never start the tool when it is in any position other than upright.
• Move the body slowly when using the tool. Remember that freshly cut grass is
damp and slippery.
• Do not work on very steep slopes. Trim across slopes, not up and down.
• Never touch the trimmer line when the tool is operational.
• Do not put the tool down until the trimmer head has stopped completely.
• Use only an appropriate type of trimmer line. Never use metal trimmer line or
fishing line.
