Electrical safety
• Always take basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances.
• The plug must be plugged into a correctly installed earthed mains socket.
• The lawn trimmer should be connected to the mains supply with a residual
current device with a maximum tripping current of 30 mA.
• Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
• Do not touch the plug or power cord with wet hands or other wet parts of your
body. Do not pull the power cord to unplug the plug.
• Keep the power cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving parts. Avoid
bending, clenching, dragging or driving over the power cord.
• Do not carry or pull the lawn trimmer by the power cord.
• Always check the power cord and plug before each use.
• Pull out the plug immediately if the power cord is damaged when working. Do
not use the lawn trimmer if the power cord or plug is damaged.
• Unplug the power cord when the lawn trimmer is not in use.
• Make sure that the power switch is in the off position before the power cord is
connected to the mains supply.
• Switch off the lawn trimmer and unplug the power cord before cleaning
and transporting.
Special safety instructions
• Keep the handles clean, dry and free from oil and grease.
• Use suitable safety equipment.
• Keep the power cord away from the work area. The power cord should always
be behind you.
• Always maintain a firm footing and good balance. Avoid unbalanced and
awkward positions when working.
