• Do not point the ejector chute at people or animals, and make sure no one goes in front of the
machine.
• Do not overload the machine by trying to remove too much snow too quickly.
• Never use the machine in poor visibility or bad light. Keep a firm footing and good balance at all
times, and keep a firm grip on the handle. Never run with the machine.
• Disengage the auger drive during transport and when the machine is not in use.
• Never run the machine at a fast pace on slippery surfaces. Be very careful when going backwards
or pulling the machine towards you.
• Never put your hands in the ejector or intake openings. Always use the supplied clearer tool to
clear the ejector. Never attempt to clear the ejector when the engine is running. Switch off the
engine, put all the controls in neutral and wait until all moving parts have completely stopped
before moving away from behind the handle to clear the ejector.
• Only use the parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer. Contact your dealer if
you have any questions.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
• Never modify the safety devices in any way. Regularly check that all safety devices are in place
and are working properly.
• Switch off the engine, put all the controls in neutral and wait until all moving parts have
completely stopped before doing repairs, lubricating and/or inspection. Loosen the spark plug
lead and earth it against the engine to prevent unintentional starting.
• Check that all screw unions are properly tightened at regular intervals. Retighten if necessary.
Check the machine for damage at regular intervals.
• Do not change the speed governor setting and do not over rev the engine. The speed governor
controls the maximum permitted engine speed.
• Shave plates and runners wear out in time. Check all components regularly and replace if
necessary. Only use parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer, otherwise there is
a risk of personal injury and/or material damage.
• Regularly check that all the control levers can be moved in both directions and automatically
return to the neutral position when released. Adjust, if necessary, in accordance with these
instructions.
• The safety and warning labels on the tool must be intact and legible. Replace them immediately
if necessary.
• Observe applicable laws and regulations relating to fuel, oil, etc.
• Before putting the machine away allow it to run for a few minutes to feed out all the snow.
Otherwise the snow can freeze to ice and lock the auger.
• Never store the machine or fuel container indoors where there are ignition sources such as a
boiler, water heater, tumble drier and electric motors that could emit sparks, in order to avoid
the risk of the ignition of fuel vapour.
• Follow the instructions for storage.
