Clear the ejector in accordance with the instructions below.
1.
Put the auger lever and drive lever in neutral.
2.
Stop the engine by pulling out the key.
3.
Remove the clearing tool from the holder.
4.
Clear away snow and ice with the clearing tool.
WARNING:
Never attempt to clear the ejector with your hands. Use the clearing tool or a stick.
Replace the clearing tool in the holder and start the engine.
Stand in the driving position behind the handle and engage the auger for a few seconds to throw out
any residual snow and ice from the ejector chute.
TIP
NOTE:
Run the engine warm for a few minutes before starting to work. The engine does not produce
its full power until it reaches the operating temperature.
WARNING:
The muffler, muffler guard and other parts of the engine get hot when the engine is
running – risk of burn injuries.
1.
Remove snow as soon as possible for best results.
2.
If possible, aim the ejector in the direction of the wind.
3.
The skid shoes are normally positioned 6–7 mm below the shave plate. If the snow is firmly
packed the skid shoes can be moved up so that the shave plate comes closer to the ground.
When working on gravel the skid shoes can be moved down so that the shave plate comes
further away from the ground.
4.
When you have finished allow the machine to run for a few minutes to feed out all the snow.
Otherwise the snow can freeze to ice and lock the auger.
5.
Clean the machine carefully every time it has been used.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
Switch off the engine, put all the controls in neutral and wait until all moving parts have
completely stopped before doing repairs, lubricating and/or inspection. Loosen the spark plug lead
and earth it against the engine to prevent unintentional starting. Always wear safety glasses when
working with or on the machine.
ENGINE MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
Switch off the engine and remove the ignition key before doing any maintenance.
