Working instructions
Connecting an extension cord
If you are using an extension cord, the cross
section of the conductors must be sufficient for the
motor’s power supply. The minimum cross-
sectional area for extension cords up to 75 metres
is 1.5 mm
2
. Connect the tool plug to the extension
cord. Make a loop in the cord and route it through
the inlet on the chain saw casing. Put the loop over
the strain reliever.
The capacity of the chain saw is reduced when
using an extension cord longer than 30 m.
•
If using the tool outdoors, only use an extension cord approved for outdoor use.
•
Always use a sawhorse when sawing timber and thin branches or pieces of wood. Never stack pieces
over each other, and never allow anyone to hold a piece of wood you are going to saw. Do not use
your foot to hold it.
•
Round timber should always be secured.
•
Always stand facing a slope on sloping ground.
•
When cutting lengths the bumper spike must be placed against the wood to be cut.
•
Hold the bumper spike firmly against the wood and saw with a driving chain. Lift the saw wtih the rear
handle and guide it with the front. The bumper spike acts as a pivot point. Change position by
pressing lightly on the front handle. Pull the saw backwards slightly at the same time. Place the
bumper spike lower down and then lift the rear handle again.
