Measuring the temperature
The room temperature (9) is shown on the display when the product is started.
Press the measuring button for about 3 seconds to switch between °C and °F.
Measuring moisture
NOTE:
The readings will vary depending on the ambient temperature.
1.
Remove the cap.
2.
Press the measuring button to start the product.
3.
Push the pins as far as possible into the material to be checked. The pins should be positioned
across the grain in wood.
4.
Read off the reading (8) or (10) for the material on the relevant scale.
5.
The left scale is used for timber, wood, paper and pasteboard etc.
6.
One scale line on the display corresponds to 1%.
7.
The right scale is used for building materials such as plaster, mortar and cement etc.
8.
One scale line on the display corresponds to 0.05%.
9.
Repeat the measurement several times to obtain a reliable average value.
10.
Clean the pins and replace the cap after measuring.
11.
The product switches off automatically after about 30 seconds.
Light
Press the light button to switch on the light.
MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
Never immerse the product in water or any other liquid. The electronic components can stop
working if they are exposed to water.
Clean regularly with a dry, lint-free cloth.
Do not use strong detergent or solvents.
Storage
Handle the moisture meter with care.
Store the moisture meter in a dry, well-ventilated area.
Store and transport the moisture meter in the original pack.
Remove the batteries if the product is not going to be used for some time.
Check the batteries regularly. Leaking batteries can damage the product.
