Never cut materials other than those the manufacturer has specified the saw is intended for.

Never use the mitre saw unless it is in full working order and all the safety devices are
correctly fitted and working.

Check when cutting mitres that the devices for angling the saw head are securely locked in position.

Make sure the floor around the workplace is flat, clean and free from debris and loose
objects, for example, sawdust and pieces of work pieces.
12.
Ensure there is adequate local or general lighting.
13.
Persons who are not familiar with these instructions should not use the machine.

Only use correctly sharpened and set saw blades. Only use blades that have as a minimum
the same speed rating as the tool.
15.
Never attempt to remove chips or work piece residue from the area around the cut until the
saw blade has completely stopped and the saw head is in the parked position.

The tool must always be securely fastened whenever possible to a work bench or a work table.

WARNING: When cutting certain materials and certain types of wood harmful or toxic dust may
arise. Contact with or inhalation of such dust is a danger to the user of the saw and for persons
close to the workplace. Wear personal safety equipment and ensure adequate dust extraction.
Non-intended uses
Do not use the tool for the following:
– Cutting logs.
– Cutting steel or metal.
– Cutting with a cut-off wheel.
– Grinding with grinding wheel.
– Working with the tool held as a hand tool.
• Such use may cause a risk of personal injury.
• The manufacturer cannot accept liability for any damages resulting from improper usage.
• Only use spare parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
Remaining risks
Even if appropriate safety regulations are adhered to and safety devices are used, it is not possible to
eliminate all risks. The following are potential risks that may be incurred as a result of the type and
design of the tool.
– Ejected saw teeth or blade parts due to breakage of the saw teeth or saw blade.
– Kickback and ejection of the work piece or parts thereof.
– Risk of hearing impairment if ear protection is not used.
– Touching the saw teeth, during use and maintenance.
– Risk of electric shock as a result of a damaged power cord or motor cover.
– Health risk as a result of shavings and dust.
